Protection of Persons Fleeing Armed Conflict

The protection of persons fleeing armed conflict and other situations of violence are the subject of a symposium organised by the University of Luxembourg’s research unit in law and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugies (UNHCR) on Monday, 20 October 2014.

Starting at noon on Campus Kirchberg, renowned experts from the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights, the UNHCR, the University of Luxembourg and other institutions will assess claims for international protection from persons fleeing Armed Conflict.

The event will be opened by:

  • Stefan Braum, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance;
  • Paolo Artini, UNHCR Regional Representative for Western Europe.
